September 27th, 2016-Clint just wrapped up recording Twinzies with Dalia Chin and Nathalie Colas of Fonema Consort. The record will be out in 2017 on Parlour Tapes+.

August 12th, 2016-Clint's new guitar solo Mar the Mirror will get a triple premiere today at the Darmstadt summer festival. Interpretations by Guiseppe Mennuti, Primož Sukič, and Jameson Feaks.

August 12th, 2016-Clint's electric guitar quartet Round Round Down will be performed today by Tal Botvinik, Nate Chivers, Jameson Feaks, and Chris Moy at the Darmstadt Music Festival.

August 9th, 2016-Clint will lecture on his composition and performance work today at the Darmstadt Music Festival at 2pm in Lichtenbergschule OS4.

August 3rd, 2016-Matt Barbier's recording (out on Populist Records and available in vinyl) of Clint's Bowel Resection and Nick Deyoe's Face Splitter received a very nice review in The WIRE.

April 17th, 2016-Clint will be performing a new voice and electonics piece at Bread and Salt, San Diego.

April 15th, 2016-Gnarwhallaby and Stephanie Aston will perform Gnarphwhallanie at Clausen Recital Hall in Los Angeles.

March 5th, 2016-Clint will perform tonight in his voice-and-electronics duo with Bonnie Lander, sharing the stage with Greg Kelley and Bill Nace at the Low Gallery in Bario Logan.

November 5th, 2015-The Face/Resection record release party is tonight! Come out to Betalevel in Los Angeles! Matt Barbier will be playing the two pieces on the record plus solo trombone music by Kurt Isaacson and Andrew Tholl.

June 4th, 2015-Clint will be performing as part of the performance art duo  with Vabianna Santos at the Hideout in San Diego at 9pm(ish). They will continue their bizzare experiments with objectifying guitars and playing them in new ways! From the archives: a previous performance at the San Diego Experimental Guitar Festival.

May 27th, 2015-Matt Barbier can't get enough self-abuse! He's playing Bowel Resection again at Beta Level in Los Angeles at 8pm.

May 6th, 2015-Gnarwhallaby and Stephanie Aston will premiere Clint's latest excursion into chamber brutality with intimate touches Gnarphwhallanie for soprano, clarinet, trombone, piano, and cello. Hear it at the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church in Pasadena California. 8pm.

April 26th, 2015-Fonema Consort will be performing Clint's Twinzies at Constellation in Chicago.

January 3rd, 2015-Clint completed a new version of Jejunum Pummeler that incorporates a drum set. It will be premiered by Aaron Hynds at Bowling Green State University on February 15th.

September, 2014-Clint's new sound installation Theme Song (Beachday Version) will be showing at the Fjord Gallery in Philadelphia all month long.

August 11th, 2014-Clint is with you in spirit pilgrims to Darmstadt. Matt Barbier will be performing Bowel Resection at the open studios concert.

June 6th, 2014-Mark Swed of the Los Angeles Times reviewed Matt Barbier's performance of Clint's Bowel Resection from the other night, describing it as "intense, brilliant, virtuosic growling that gave the striking impression that Barbier was dismantling the instrument while playing it."

June 4th, 2014-
Matt Barbier will be performing Clint's Bowel Resection at Betalevel in Los Angeles as part of this year's installment of the awesome Dag Star Orchestra concert series.

May 23rd, 2014-Clint's new poperetta There No Here will be premiered by Leslie Ann Leythem as part of her epic recital/TV-variety-show mash-up at the Mandeville Theater at UCSD. An archive of the livestream can be viewed here. Tt takes a while to load and there's a long intro. The show starts at about 23:00, and the There No Here segement (including the character Clint and Leslie developed) starts at about 28:45, and the music starts at 32:45. March 29th, 2014-Clint will be performing a ritual with collaborator Vabianna Santos at the 2014 San Diego Experimental Guitar Show at the Soda Bar. The ritual involves guitar hybrid, a wall of sound, no hands, all hair!

March 18th, 2014-New Music Box has a nice review of the ZWERM CD that refernces Clint's Round, Round, Down in one of its clauses about halfway through.

February 7th, 2014-Clint's brutal trombone solo/endurance piece Bowel Ressection will be premeired tonight by split-tone brutalizer Matt Barbier in Los Angeles at LA Artshare.

September 1st, 2013-ZWERM just released Underwater Princess Waltz on New World Records, which includes Clint's Round, Round, Down  among other amazing electric guitar quartet interpretations of 1 page pieces.

June 6th, 2013-Clint was awarded a Ph.D. in music composition.

March 19th, 2013-Clint's new concert length peice I am Its will. It does not will. will be premiered tonight at the Conrad Prebys Music Center on the UCSD campus. It is scored for voice, clarinet, tuba, piano/accordion, drumset/vibes, violin, eguitar, computer, and a choir of mechanically resonated thundersheets. It's epic, and it just make Clint a doctor... It will be performed by an incredible troup: Leslie Leythem, Sam Dunscombe, Jonathan Piper, Brendan Nguyen, Leah Bowden, Clint Davis, Batya MacAdam-Somer, David Medine, featuring Kevin Larke on the feedback machine!

July 29th, 2012-Ictus will premiere a new "7 inch version" of Clint's April Eighteenth 1993, Waco, Texas and the brand spankin' new Dance Up Close To Me II for Fender Rhodes and amplifier operator in Darmstadt Germany for the Liquid Room performance at the end of the summer courses!!!

April 13th, 2012-Brendan Nguyen will premiere Clint's new piano and electonics piece (title forthcoming) at 8pm in the UCSD Conrad Prebys Music Center Black Box.

December 20, 2011-Martin Losert and Ernst Surberg of Ensemble Mosaik will be performing Clint's in a hall of mirrors waiting to die in Stuttgart: Theaterhaus Stuttgart P1 Siemensstr 11.

December 3, 2011-Clint will be performing his piece onanspazautonomotor for electric guitar in New York City. September 21, 2011-The amazing film verion of Meat Your Mirror, filmed and edited by Anna Chiaretta Lavatelli and Miki Davis, was screened at the CalIT art happy hour. Watch it and see if you can resist sending it to your friends...

September 11, 2011-Clint finished a new composition comissioned by the profoundly bad-ass Belgian ensemble Ictus. It's ofr voice, sax, synthesizer, drumset, electric guitar and electric bass. It's titled April Eighteenth 1993, Waco, Texas. Guess the topic and win a free clintophonics t-shirt!!!

July 24, 2011-Clint finished a new solo percussion piece--Imploding Sentin Bomb: for 1 person playing vibes and drumset--on this day, his birthday!

May 29, 2011-Clint's composition in a hall of mirrors waiting to die continues to be a hit state-side and abroad. It will be played by Ensemble Mosaik on June 14, 2011 in Berlin, and then by Ensemble Nikel on July 8, 2011 in Tel Aviv!!!

May 26, 2011-Jonathan Piper premiered Clint's new composition, Jejumum Pummeller, for amplified tuba and drum-machine. Recording forthcoming.

May 22, 2011-The AQUAPUKE website got a make over, and there are some beautiful new recordings to listening to there.

April 15, 2011-NPR included Clint on its eclectic list of 100 composers under 40.

April 12, 2011-Clint's new composition, Final Girl 1, was premiered by Jess Aszodi, Leslie Leytham, Meghann Welsh, and Stephanie Aston. The piece involves the three woman screaming throughout, interpreting various emotional adjectives. The score and recording have been posted!!!

March 4, 2011-Clint premiered an original performance piece titled Your Thirty Three Years Are Up as a contribution to the Archive Fever performance/art series at the University Art Gallery of UCSD. He was joined by Leah Bowden and Eric Derr on drumset, and Jonathan Piper, Paul Hembre, and Sean Conway on trumpets.  Find video of the performance here, and check out Stephanie Lie's fabulous photography of the performance here.

December 6, 2010-Clint passed his qualification examinations, making him one step closer to the title of Doctor Clint. In order to fulfill the requirements he wrote three substantial papers: on ascending melodies in electronic dance music; on his re-enactment of Freeing the Voice and Lacanian psychoanalysis; and on three of his own compositions and their theoretical connections to anatomy, the butterflies, performance anxiety, masturbation, and horror movies. We'll post these papers as soon as our editors clean up the typos.

October 29, 2010-Clint re-enacted Marina Abramovic's epic 1972 performance piece Freeing the Voice. He laid on his back and screamed until he lost his voice (which took a little more then ninety minutes). Listen to the recording here. stay tuned for the video version that will be released some day. July 17-31, 2010-Clint will be at the Darmstadt Musikinstitut where his new piece, they don't make that part anymore (for soprano saxophone, percussion, and electric guitar), will be premiered by Ryan Muncy, Dennis Sullivan, and Matthias Koole on July 30th in the Oranjerie.

April 9, 2010-violinist Batya MacAdam-Somer wil premiere were running through the woods, Clint's new violin solo, at the Conrad Prebys concert hall at UCSD at 8pm. The piece is based on Clint's Messiaenic transcriptions of women screaming in his favorite horror movies.

The LA Times reviewed the Monday Evening Concerts program and gave Clint his first blurb: "He's a Coloradan who studied at UC San Diego but has not lost his cowboy hat." (Note: article title should read "Blood on the Keyboard in Zipper Hall." Which did happen courtesy of piano brutalizer Eric Wubbels. Eric played Webern immediately afterwards, so it's kind of like Clint bled on Webern).

January 11, 2009-In a Hall of Mirrors Waiting to Die, Clint's peice for soprano saxophone and piano, gets its Los Angeles premeire on the always awesome concert series Monday Evening Concerts. See the rest of the program and season here.

June 6, 2009-Spektral just released The Kenners album Intersections, which contains Clint's peice In a Hall of Mirrors Waiting to Die. Clint has lots of copies. Contact him if you want to donate something in exchange.

A new piece by Clint titled Back through the Window-Gaze: Hommage a Chris Burden will be premiered by the man himself on a fabulous concert curated by the amazing Carolyn Chen on Sunday May 17 at the Conrad Prebys Music building at UCSD...bring your goggles!

Clint will premere a new version of a peice for violin, tape, and dancers with Ashley Bowman (choreography) and Benny Nisbet (violin) in Tuscon on May 9 and 10
